THE LIBRARY IS CURRENTLY CLOSED, BUT STAFF ARE HERE TO ASSIST YOU BY PHONE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM TO 5 PM.
To check out books, audiobooks, and DVDs: Teens, older youth, and adults may login into their library accounts and search the online catalog to place items on hold. Up to 20 items may be checked out on one library card. (Materials for young children -- picture books, board books, and easy readers must be reserved on an adult card.) After materials are selected, wait for our call notifying you that your items are ready to be picked up at curbside. Curbside hours are noon to 4:30 PM Tuesday through Friday. We post regularly on Facebook about new materials that are currently on the shelf.
Not quite sure what you want to read? Readers' Advisory services are available, based on information you share with us about your reading preferences. We also have a great record of picking books for younger readers that "hit the spot." To request assistance selecting materials, email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org, and use the subject line Readers' Advisory.
Universal City residents also have access to the digital collections of the San Antonio Public Library and the Bexar County Bibliotech. Library staff will be happy to provide instruction on how to apply for these library cards, which are available to citizens of Bexar County.
The library’s guest wireless network (Internet) extends to the curb at 100 Northview Drive, on the patio and in the direction of Northview Park. The password for the guest network is UCTXis#1.
Printing is also available: Call the library and we will provide instructions on how to send your documents. Printing is delivered curbside Tuesday through Friday from Noon to 4:30 PM.
If you need public computers, please visit the Bexar Bibliotech: 1203 N. Walters St., San Antonio, 210-631-0230.
Materials can be returned to the drop box at 100 Northview Drive 24/7. Returned items are quarantined for three days before being available to be checked out again.
We are eager to see you in the library again! In the meantime, please stay safe. We hope we can be of service to you during this challenging time.
