Consider joining a new book club in the New Year! The focus will be on biographies and memoirs – hence the title. (Occasionally, we may throw in a non-fiction title about dogs, just to keep things real.)
The goal is to explore the wide world of lived experience, and “meet” new people in the pages of the books and at the library.
Get a Life: The Book Club will meet on 4th Wednesdays of each month at 6:15 PM in the Meeting Room.
Reading selections for the first few months:
January 24, Steve Jobs, by Walter Isaacson
February 28, Between the World and Me, by Ta-Nehisi Coates
March 28, Liar, Temptress, Soldier, Spy: Four Women Undercover in the Civil War, by Karen Abbott
April 25, Running on Red Dog Road and Other Perils of an Appalachian Childhood, by Drema Hall Berkheimer
Limited copies of books are available in the library, and also at the San Antonio Public Library. For more information contact Susan Ennis at email@example.com, or call the library: 210-659-7048.
